SAFETY STANDARDS: PROTECTION AGAINST LIQUID CHEMICALS
EN 13034: PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AGAINST LIQUID CHEMICALS - LIMITED PROTECTIVE PERFORMANCE
The guide describes the classification of different properties which must be tested. EN 13034 covers the lowest level of chemical protection
intendant to protect from a potential exposure to small quantities of spray or accidental low volume splashes of less hazardous chemicals against
which a complete liquid permeation barrier (at a molecular level) is not required.
EN13034 1: TYPE 6
Suits protect at least the trunk and limbs (e.g. one-piece coveralls or two piece suits)
2: TYPE PB(6)
Partial body protection Type PB[6] cover and protect only speciic parts of the body (e.g. Jackets, aprons,...)
EN 14065: PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AGAINST LIQUID CHEMICALS - WITH PERMEATION RESISTANCE TEST
The following parameters are used:
1) TYPE 3: FULL BODY CLOTHING, LIQUID TIGHT CONNECTIONS
EN14605 Supersedes EN 466:1995
2) TYPE 4: FULL BODY CLOTHING, SPRAY TIGHT CONNECTIONS
Supersedes EN 465:1995
3) TYPE PB[3] OR PB[4]: ITEMS PROVIDING PROTECTION TO PARTS OF THE BODY ONLY
Supersedes EN 467:1995
EN466 EN 466:1995 EN467 EN 467:1995 EN14605 EN 14605:2005

SAFETY STANDARDS: EXPOSURE TO INDUSTRIAL HEAT
EN ISO 14116: PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AGAINST LIMITED FLAME SPREAD MATERIALS
The standard is not applicable for ire ighters (EN 469) and welders (EN 470 - EN ISO 11611). The aim is to reduce the possibility of the
clothing burning and thereby itself constituting a hazard: the wearer should not get extra injuries due to the burning of his clothing.
1) REQUIREMENTS FOR LIMITED FLAME SPREAD INDEX 1
EN ISO 14116 EN ISO 11612
The lame does not spread, there are no laming debris, no afterglow, a hole may be formed.
2) REQUIREMENTS FOR LIMITED FLAME SPREAD INDEX 2
The lame does not spread, there are no laming debris, no after glow, no hole formation.
3) REQUIREMENTS FOR LIMITED FLAME SPREAD INDEX 3
EN14605 The lame does not spread, there are no laming debris, no after glow, no hole formation, the after lame times of
each individual specimen is less than 2 seconds.
EN ISO 11612: PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AGAINST HEAT AND FLAME
The standard is not applicable for ire ighters (EN 469) and welders (EN 470 -
